We are Zesus LTD. We sell 35mm and 120 Motion Picture film for still photography.
My name is Jason and I have been shooting film for a number of years, and like many of us, I watched as the price of our beloved colour films go up and up over the years.
From this, came the idea of bulk loading the Kodak Vision3 motion picture films to allow there to be an affordable colour film on the market so that you can get back to taking and capturing the moments that mean the most to you.
In my own photography, you will most likely see me shooting on a range of formats. I started my journey in analogue photography like many of us, with a good old 35mm camera. I still remember taking a disposable camera on my year 7 French trip.
However, I originally got back into analogue photography through Polaroids and a SX-70. After playing around with Polaroids, I decided to jump back into film photography completely. I did have a Yashica Electro 35, that i took on a few trips, but I always found getting through a roll of 36 exposures on 35mm film a bit of a challenge. So, I decided to jump to medium format where I ended up with a Mamiya 645 1000s. I loved using that camera, and soon after, I jumped to the Mamiya RB67.
The RB67 was the camera that changed my photography, and i finally felt like i understood it all. I loved having multiple film backs, so I can swap from black and white to colour without having to finish the roll of film.
From there, I did the same thing we all do and brought a bunch of cameras, like the:
- Yashica Mat 124G
- Fuji GW690
- Olympus OM1
- Bessa R.
I also started to shoot large format, with the help of an Intrepid 4x5 and a 8x10. I like to challenge myself, so I like to try out a different film format, to test myself.
I also like to dabble with 16mm film with my Bolex H16. After falling in love with the motion picture stocks that I sell, I loved the idea of filming memories on the same film stocks.
I am super excited to see what happens with the store, and where it takes me. It has been an amazing year, and the making of this website has been an exciting step, and I can't wait to see where it takes me.
